More About Dominic

Dominic Glover was born in Bloomington, Indiana and raised in Columbus, Indiana.   He graduated from Columbus North High School in 1989.  Dom and his family make their home in Columbus.  He has practiced law in Columbus, Indiana since 1997.  Dom practices primarily in the areas of Domestic Relations, Criminal Defense and Litigation.
 

Dom graduated from Wabash College in and Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington in 1993.  In law school Dom served as a law clerk for Bartholomew Circuit Court Judge Stephen R. Heimann.  In October 2004, Dom was awarded the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award by the Indiana State Bar Association.
 

Dom is a ‘Certified Family Law Specialist’ as endorsed by the Family Law Certification Board of the Indiana State Bar Association.  This endorsement is designed to delineate and identify lawyers in the field of Family Law whose practice demonstrates extensive experience, education, and work concentration in the area of Family Law.  It recognizes those lawyers who have attained extraordinary competence and efficiency in the delivery of legal services within the field of Family Law.  The endorsement also recognizes those lawyers who are peer-recognized as experts in Family Law.  For more on these standards please see: FamLawStandards.pdf
 

Dom likes working with clients, understanding their situations and working to improve them. He also enjoys working with opposing counsel to resolve disputes without the necessity of a hearing, when possible.  Conversant in Spanish, he represents a number of Latino clients in many contexts.  He is involved with the Bartholomew County Bar Association, having previously served as President of the organization.  He also extensively volunteers as a Pro Bono attorney with Bartholomew Area Legal Aid.
 

Dom is involved in his community in many ways.  He has been an instructor of Legal Studies at Indiana University Purdue University Columbus and at Ivy Tech State College.  Dom is a member of Columbus Noon Rotary, having previously served on its board.  He has also been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County, having served that organization for six years, the last as President of the Board.  He has also served on the board of the Columbus Museum of Art and Design.  He has also served on the Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County’s Outreach Committee, working on economic development issues in Bartholomew County.  He has been appointed by local judges to the Community Corrections Board as well as the ‘What Works’ Board working to utilize evidence-based practices in corrections in Bartholomew County.
